In response to a recent ransomware attack, Insomniac Games has released an official statement expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support received from fans and industry peers amid the challenging situation faced by the Burbank studio.

Addressing the cyberattack, the statement conveys both sorrow and frustration, emphasizing the emotional impact on the development team. The breach exposed personal information of current and former employees, along with early details about Marvel's Wolverine, adding a layer of distress to the situation.


Despite the setback, Insomniac assures that work on Marvel's Wolverine is progressing according to schedule, and official updates about the PS5 exclusive will be disclosed at an appropriate juncture.

Following a seven-day ultimatum to pay the ransom, the criminal group reportedly shared 98% of the stolen data from Insomniac Games. While Sony had issued a statement before the data release, no post-incident comments have been made. Concurrently, internet service providers are issuing DMCA notices to individuals acquiring and downloading an early playable build of Marvel's Wolverine.
